A rare German Africa Korps concave mirror as made by Siemens-Schuckert dated 1940 for the purposes of blinding aircraft from the ground. Mounted with two handles and makers marks. The mirrored glass is made from two pieces meeting visibly in the middle. The glass is also etched with the date and brand name.
As well as being a piece of military technology, it works on the same principal as a fairground distortion mirror. Placed in a room, because of the large scale (70cm diameter), it creates a widescreen reversed and distorted upside-down reflection.
